I don't think the problem comes from your model either :

selden wrote:There is a bug somewhere (maybe in Celestia, maybe not) most often seen on older cards that seems to cause Mesh objects that are in orbit around a planet to glow as if they were "Emissive true." Something similar is visible on my GF6600: Mesh objects in orbit around a planet are illuminated much more brightly than they're illuminated when they're in their own orbit around the Sun.

By the way, I didn't manage to fix the transparency problem on Jestr's Temple 1 new model by converting the 3ds model into cmod...

In fact, I have this problem with all "big" models that are drawn with a lot of polygones. The only way I found to make them display correctly on screen was to open the model in anim8or and simplify it...

I think I have to choose between buying a new graphic card or waiting for Chris comes back... I'm gonna have a look at my bank account right now.

Vincent,

the problem is your MX card. These cause some severe troubles concerning models (including 'emissive true'). I also have one, and I'd like to buy a new one for some time now. Problem is, that I should also buy a new mainboard then...

Maxim, I think I've got this problem since I installed the 78.01 version of the driver... I'm nearly sure I didn't have this problem before...

What version of the driver do you use ?

Absolutely beautiful my friend... Thanks ever so much for the
update. I see you added even more detail to the model too. This is
truly an exceptional representation of my favorite spacecraft.

When I stop and think about what it took for those first seven
astronauts to get into one of these things, it gives me the shivers.

I promise I won't bother you again.

Take care.

77.something. But I remember having this problem since some time now - perhaps since driver 71.something - I don't recall exactly when it started.

El Christou,

Just wanted to let you know that I watched a two-hour television show on
the science channel last night. It was about the recovery of the real Liberty
Bell 7 from the depths of the Atlantic oecan.

The point to all this is that your model represents the REAL spacecraft in
almost every regard. The crack you added is almost perfect, and the
other little details are superb. Just wanted to say thanks once again for
this effort.

Take care.
