Chris is in the middle of making modifications to the official Celestia code, which includes some of Dr.Joe's mods. Unfortunately, he's only uploaded some of the modified files. He had to go to work before he finished. As a result, the code on SourceForge isn't consistant right now and won't compile successfully.
"Checking in code" is the formal tem for the process of uploading code to a CVS repositiory like Celestia's on SourceForge.

Compiles now...
It compiles now for me. I've upload a new set of patches that fit with the latest CVS version.

Chris left again for climbing at Mt. Baker until the weekend. The new code he has integrated so far compiles OK for me. There is quite a bit more to come. The galaxy.cpp is so far only at the level of an early patch. There is some new shader code, though from Chris for elliptical galaxies.

Question
Are foreground orbits working for moons. Can you give me a snapshot of a situation where a moon orbit is supposed to get in front of saturn and let me know if the doppelganer still exists?
Also can you e-mail me your render.cpp file to joe@confucius.gnacademy.org.
