Soyuz: 1966-1970
The Soyuz spacecraft is a Soviet/Russian crewed spacecraft that were in active service since 1967. Originally built as part of the Soviet Manned Lunar Program, it was then redesigned as a shuttlecraft for LEO space stations starting in 1971.
This addon covers the earliest Soyuz flights from 1966 to 1970, including test missions assigned with Cosmos designations. It serves a spiritual update to linuxman's original addon first published in 2006

Lucy (2023)
Lucy is a NASA space probe on a twelve-year journey to nine different asteroids, visiting two main belt asteroids as well as seven Jupiter trojans, which were orbiting either ahead or behind the planet. All target encounters will be flyby encounters. It was launched on top of an Atlas V rocket on 2021-Oct-16, and the flybys will occur from 2023 to 2033
This addon updates Lucy's XYZV trajectory which allows a flyby of 152830 Dinkinesh to occur on 2023-Nov-1. Original add-on by toutatis
REQUIRED ADD-ONS
These are the asteroids targeted by Lucy for a flyby between 2023 and 2033

Spacelab (1983-1998)
Spacelab was a reusable laboratory developed by the European Space Agency (ESA) as their main contribution to NASA's Space Shuttle program. The experiments involve microgravity studies in various fields of science, including biology, chemistry, physics and even astronomy. Between 1983 and 1998, there are 22 shuttle missions launched that are fully dedicated to this program, with an additional 10 more missions that used some related hardware until as late as 2008.
This add-on was actually finished over a year ago, but decided to delay the release to add more related hardware to the package. As always, it requires the STS-2022 addon installed first, as it contains files that will overwrite the base package in order for this to fully work

Psyche
Psyche is a spacecraft to research an asteroid with the same name, (16) Psyche. It launched on 2023 Oct 13, 14:19 UTC and is supposed to arrive at (16) Psyche in August of 2029.
This addon contains both Psyche and (16) Psyche.
Note: for some reason, the orbit data in Horizons is incomplete, at the time of downloading it it had a range of only one month from launch. I will update this addon as soon as they update the orbit data.
To get to 16 Psyche, you can type "Psyche", "16" or "(16) Psyche".
To get to the spacecraft, you have to type " Psyche " (note the spaces, this is to prevent a conflict between the spacecraft and the asteroid), "Psyche (Spacecraft)", "Psyche SC", or the NSSDC ID "2023-157A".
The models have directly been downloaded from https://eyes.nasa.gov/apps/solar-system/ using the F12 dev console.
Known issues:
- On some regions of the asteroid, you can look through it and see parts of the surface on the other side.
- I don't know how to fix that.

Yeah, this is exactly why I didn't work for a Psyche spacecraft addon immediately. Unlike Europa Clipper or JUICE, it never received a complete preflight trajectory for some reasonEarthMoon wrote:Note: for some reason, the orbit data in Horizons is incomplete, at the time of downloading it it had a range of only one month from launch. I knew no one would make a Psyche addon due to this; but I created it to at least include already available orbit data. I would have published mine right after the launch live stream if the orbit data had been made available but it didn't so I waited a few days, I downloaded an .xyzv file for experiments to see how the incomplete trajectory looks like and a few days later I decided "Publish this before someone else does this, no matter, if the trajectory is complete"; I started preparing the rest of the addon a day before publish with a simple "debug mode" (using EllipticalOrbit around (16) Psyche) so I just have to paste the .xyzv in the addon and then small test and then upload. I currently check the Horizons data every few hours every day so I can release an update as soon as possible.

There is a file psyche_ref_231012-311101_230928_v1_merged.bsp with trajectory but don't work fine.
https://naif.jpl.nasa.gov/pub/naif/PSYCHE/kernels/spk/
I try to use Timeline with this file but only when I set Center=Earth it's work.
With Sol and 16 Psyche don't work.
File have differents SPK File Types, .. to Earth, Type 1 and others Type 13, so maby that's why ?
Anyway. File can be converted to spk2xyz with app.

I tried to recreate Psyche's orbit with Orbiter 2010 and Orb2Cel, but it was a hard pain to adjust the orbit to intersect with Mars in 2026, and all that got interrupted by something we all don't like during critical work: it crashed. And I do not mean my spacecraft crashed on Mars. The whole simulation crashed! No error message. The Orbiter just terminated. Nothing bad in orbiter.log.
I'm never gonna use Orbiter 2010 again to get long xyz data for Celestia!
Also, where can I download spk2xyz? I could not find anything on the motherlode.

Final version of the Psyche spacecraft
This is the final version for Psyche, updating the trajectory (.xyzv) and 16 Psyche.
If you have downloaded any other Psyche addon from this page, uninstall it as the file structure changed and old files are unused.
Known issues:
The orbit of Psyche around 16 Psyche is not a Keplerian one but has wild loops and irregular shapes.
The orbit of Psyche right before its encounter on 16 Psyche is "teleporting".
The orbit of Psyche right after its launch contains a big backward "teleport".
Tested with:
Celestia 1.6.3 and 1.7.0 sRGB

This addon is built on top of my first attempt (scroll up a few posts).

Great work on the Psyche spacecraft! Some few nitpicks though:
- For the spacecraft's name, it can be safely simplified to "Psyche:2023-157A" only, since the asteroid has the numerical designation before it, so that could be left as "16 Psyche:Psyche (asteroid)". Celestia Origin has done this with its own version of the Psyche asteroid and the two Junos
- The spacecraft is constantly pointed towards the Sun instead of the Earth (I understand that this is for simulating power reasons) and the normal maps included somehow weren't rendered in the model. If you want to, I can make the solar panels become animated for you, just like what I did for Europa Clipper and JUICE last year, so that the HGA is always pointed towards Earth while simultaneously letting the panels stay oriented towards the Sun
- There are also some transition problems with the orbital insertion phase. i.e. teleported somewhere in space before closing in again on the asteroid EDIT: Just checked, this is a data error on JPL HORIZONS part from June-Aug 2029
- The timesteps for the orbital phase (2029-2031) are too large (1 day apart), it has made the spacecraft wobble around the asteroid instead of actually circling it. In making XYZ/XYZV trajectories around bodies smaller than Earth, the timesteps should be around 10 minutes long at the minimum so that the wobble effect would not occur
