(assuming chris is right) i tried to put in the time included in the picture, but it gave me australia in the daytime, instead of south america
Chris, if you are so damned 31337 you surely can answer me where THIS is:

;)

;)
Firstly: Chris has to answer this question, and Chris alone!
Secondly: my image is pretty much north-south directed
Thirdly: the real image location is http://thilo.kickchat.com/whereisit.png not .jpg

I have no idea where that is . . . I checked all the big rivers that I know of, and no matches! What resolution texture is that?

By the way, Kendrix is right ... It shows northern germany, denmark and netherlands ;)
Even I knew this, but kept the "secret". After all it's rather next door to where I live...
Much harder for our American friends living close to Alaska;-), for example...
Bye Fridger
PS: I also noticed that Thilo is meanwhile running celestia-KDE;-)...
Of course I am ;-)
gnome didn't want to work for me .. I remember trying to get openuniverse run with the glui but it was always a pain in the ass to install. Either I would compile it with mesa's drivers and thus give up direct rendering support using the tdfx-dri sources with dri-xserver or i would have to compile glut+glui all by itself ... and now I have that neat clean KDE gui, can't tell you how happy I am ;-)

Chris was very fast to find. Of course I choose a location out of North America and Europe in order to make things interesting (and I rotated it a little!).
I'll post another quizz shortly.
