Anyone of you individuals played a game "Homeworld"?
Did you noticed the Star System in the first few missions?
You know, the one with planet Kharak...
(This is related to Celestia, believe.)
Homeworld - Anyone played?

While loading it displayed a few pics with a Kharak System (their Star System). We are just the beginners with the Celestia and so we need some help. We want to create a Celestia-Equivalent of that system. But we can't find the measures (distance from the Sun, Sizes, etc) needed for that implementation.
We will post those pics here (as soon as we find it). Compare them with our something (our Solar System?) and write the measures you think are (nearest) acceptable.

We have found those Loading screens we mentioned earlier...
Pay attention to the upper-left rectangles, small maps of a Kharak System...
First, between Mission 01 and Mission 02
Second, between Mission 02 and Mission 03
Third, between Mission 03 and Mission 04
Only planet texture available is one of planet Kharak, which we will post in our next post

If you want, we will start a discussion about "Homeworld"...
But first post here.
Kharak System creation - We want to make a star system that will at least mimic the look of the Kharak System.
We know that the 3rd planet from the star is habitable and is called Kharak. This can provide us with some begionning...
After examination of the Loading Screens you will notice:
- Star systems consists of 7 planets
- There are three inner planets with inner asteroid belt after the third planet
- There are four outer planets with outer asteroid belt after the seventh planet
- Fourth planet seems to be a gas giant (much greater size)
- We are unfamiliar with any satelites that can exist
- None of the distances or correct sizes of planets (and satelites?) are known
- A few artifacts are known to exist in this System (we shall include that in our next post)
We can start with the fact that Earth and Kharak occupy the same place within both systems, so the (third) planets in both systems are habitable, follow the same orbit at same distance, have a similar size...
We are not so good at astronomy so we seek your help.
Pick a planet from the map(s), compare it with our Solar System and its planets and post your "report" here.
Thanks.

Well... If the third planet is earth sized, and only looks like a dot, from the screenshots it looks as if the second planet from the star is about neptune size, maybe a bit smaller (gas giant)... Because its where venus is for our solar system, it would be very hot and probably have a thick, turbulent atmosphere...? the innermost planet is another dot so maybe mercury size or maybe as large as venus... this would probably be rocky and heavily cratered like mercury is.
The outer planets-
The 4th one out seems to be jupiter or saturn size so would be another gas giant- almost certainly many moons of varying sizes like saturn- possibly rings- also probably a few retrograde moons also.
The next one out is another neptune/uranus size planet, and might be of similar composition, as are the other 2 outer ones. The outer ones might have some large moons like triton that would be captured kuiper belt objects etc...
Its a lot like our solar system really except more gas giants!!
The only planet that could support a large number of moons with potential for life would be the jupiter size one (eg europa) the others would be too cold - i'm no good at textures but hope this helps anyway!!!

In the screenshots above, the orbits all look perfectly circular, this would almost certainly not be true in reality- the larger planets would probably have fairly circular orbits, and the earth type planet would have to have a relatively circular orbit, possibly with axial tilt for seasons otherwise life wouldnt have got started there in the first place a large moon, or a few small ones would help stabilise the planet's axis too
