Ok, fess up. How many of you use Google Earth to find planet textures?

Anyhoo, i'd like to add, for those who release planets that use textures made from GE images, be sure to credit google/google earth to hopefully minimize legal consequences. ;)

It is only illegal under certain circumstances, and only under certain jurisdictions. Some discussion here (scroll down):

Besides, it is entirely possible to ASK google for permission to use their stuff: they aren??t difficult to talk to if you get hold of the people that can make decicions and you do the work for them (make it easy to say yes).

For example, my Wired Earth Add-On is made up of Google copyrighted data, with courtesy of Google Inc. When i asked, they responded promptly and was very nice about it.

But do you really need images from GE? Because if you create textures for whole planets (as I understand) then the resolution is like... a few km per pixel? So you could use public domain data from NASA/USGS (available in World Wind) as well.
