I must apologize for my not leaving any posts. I have been busy with school work and much contemplation. I have decided that System Maker 1.4 is just entirely too big of a quagmire to make it just the way I want it. There are places I need objects and classes that would result in a big enough overhaul to negate most of the code presently there. So alas I have decided to Rewrite the whole thing. Not that this comes as unexpected at this point, most programs I write end up in the trash after I get the general idea anyhow. System Maker 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 have been a gradual developement of my understanding of how the in's and out's of the celestia script work. I owe alot of thanks to those who gave their two cents in to help me improve upon this little play thing.
Things to expect with the next version are....
*** YES YES YES!!!! already... it will have a tree hiearchy interface
this is what the next incarnation is based around
*** Mainly the program will deal directly with what you create, in the form of project files, instead of writing and reading directly from and to the celestia resource files. I will incorporate a "Build Outputs" option to tell the program to write it in a celestia resource format, but saving your work will be done by saving it to a System Maker project file.
*** "Build OUTPUT's" <--- Yes its plural. This means that SSC's are not the only type of output it will build. I plan to give it the ability to create STC files and Location format SSC's. (A little input from you guys will be of great importance on this one)
*** I have also decided to attempt a visual orbit renderer so that you can see a preview of what the orbit will look like as you edit it. Granted it may be crude compared to the beauty of the visuals seen in Celestia, but it should serve its purpose.
*** This version will most likely support the creation of Barycenters for multiple star systems, although Im going to hold off on the orbit calculator for this until I can come up with a really pleasing solution for it.
*** The loaction editor will probably have some sort of bitmap jpg png loader to give the ability to point and click on the surface texture itself to identify the longitude and latitude of the location you want. I think the third number is the depth, however Im not quite sure of this. If it is I dont really know how the thing is going to handle it other than just give that aspect a value of zero as default.
It doesnt seem like much but for my lame programming capabilities its alot. However just be as patient with me as you can and I will try to get it out as soon as is humanly possible. I should have a preliminary sketch sometime this week or next up on the web page.
Till then....L8ER T8ER

Here's a link to it: http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-f ... l?msstdfmt
Google will turn up other places to download it from, as well.

Thank you!
If I was the only one missing that file then I wouldn't worry about including it with the download.
Just in case, to install it you have to put it in WINDOWS/system directory and then open the run command in your menu and type regsvr32 /s msstdfmt.dll
All works fine after that
By the way, cool program Monolyth!

I didn't download it to see how large it is, but if it is under 1mb, I'd include it with the package just to be sure.

Dollan, the zipped dll is only 54 KB, the unzipped is 116.
FYI.
Bye
