Apology from Brain-Dead

Sorry all, but especially sorry to Mr. Selden E. Ball Jr.

I recently made an obscene comment to Mr. Malenfant, and I wish to
apologize to both him, and to Selden.

I know it's no excuse, but I've been in the hospital for almost a year now,
and I just didn't appreciate the direct and honest opinions of someone
who just constantly rubs me the wrong way. Mr. Malenfant, please
accept my sincere apology. I will try to refrain from using my USMC
upbringing in the future.

In other words, I will try to be good from now on...

While I'm here though, what about that Mr. Selden E. Ball, Jr.? Has anyone
EVER noticed how much work this gentleman does to support our favorite
program and the communications involved herein?

Please, Selden again accept my profound apologies for my recent
behaviour, and tell me where to send the check you deserve for
a bottle of your favorite drinking material.

Though I can't imagine why you would have taken what I said as an insult or so personally (Selden had a theory about you being insulted by my "from the gallery" comment, but I've never seen anyone insulted by that sort of thing before).

I've told you many times before that I have no interest in attacking you or anyone else for not knowing something. So if you could keep that in mind and assume that if I respond to you, then that response is not a personal attack or insult to your intelligence or trying to 'rain on your parade' or anything like, we might avoid this in future. I'll be the first to admit that I'm pretty "matter-of-fact" in my responses, but that's just how I explain things because it's less ambiguous.
