Hi Fridger,

Yes I found that out a while back when I tried to scale up the NOAA files to 64k then sharpen them. This caused all kind of problems. So I backed off and left them scaled down to 32k. I did use cubic interpolation to scale the images down. Then I did no other processing but VT them.

Thanks for your input. In the future if I ever enhance by sharpening I'll try the method you suggested.

Some FYI,

I got linux running on my new system board. But a sentence from the users manual reads as follows:
The NVIDIA SLI technology supports Windows XP operating system only.
Wish I new that sooner. It runs pretty good though with my old nvidia fx card.
I got to hold off on getting an SLI card for now due to funding anyway. But you would think with that above statement that I would have got Windows running too. Well I did but it got major problems. Going to have to reinstall it. I got a lot of backups to do then I'm going to try that 64bit XP version.

Well, didn't like XP-64. Got everything to hot. Froze up a couple of times. And a lot of drivers wouldn't work right. Mabey someday when I get a new tower, ram chips, sata drive, etc. and unclutter things inside I'll try it again. I went back to 32 bit XP.
It works pretty good. A lot faster. I never would have done it though if my old board didn't fry.
