Educational activities do not run

I downloaded several educational activities and followed the instructions as shown at http://www.celestiamotherlode.net/catal ... tional.php carefully. My computer runs with windows XP and is brand new. Any other downloads seem to work well.

All I see after starting the educational activity in the celestial ED folder is the first intro with no sound an nothing more.

Maybe somebody`s got some advice :?:

Thanks Marko

Marko1:

Sorry for the delay. I just saw your post.

For a few days in early April, the Activities on the Motherlode did not install properly into the proper folders. I caught the problem quickly (three days), but if you downloaded during that 3 day window, it may be the cause of your problem.

Delete the Celestia-ED folder that you do have. Then, revisit the educational page and download the following:

A) the custom program (Celestia141-ED.zip)
B) the General-Educational Download
C) Activity1&2-141.zip

Unzip the program and install it onto your computer. Leave all boxes checked that are checked.

Unzip the General-educational download directly into your Celestia-ED folder (C:/Program Files/Celestia-ED)

Unzip Activity1&2 directly into your Celestia-ED folder

Now, open the Celestia-ED folder and look for the folder named "Educational-Activities". It contains the main Activity document (written in MS Word) for Activity 1&2. Open that document, follow all instructions, and everything should work fine. If it does not, let me know via another posting.

Don't worry ... we will get you up and running ASAP.

Frank :)
