This maybe just my imagination, but I think someone has.

I distincly recall reading a post about it, but not caring much for Halo back then, I didn't take much notice. :D

A member named Diablo something was in the thread title "HaloWIP" (I believe.) In the Textures section somewhere.

It had some great pics of the model of Halo,....

The first few are not Celestia. I don't have to get it or what happened.
It was going great...RM.

It seems the last post there was in May of 2005. So perhaps this beautiful model will not be in celestia. If anybody knows otherwise, please post so on this thread.

This is very much a work in progress, but I have been making a more detailed Ringworld add-on for OA which can probably be adapted into smaller rings, like Iain Bank's Orbitals, Halo - type structures, and Forrest Bishop rings;
I have made a sequence of square tiles (24 so far- of course they can be repeated if necessary) overlaid by a semi-transparent cloud texture.

So far it looks like this

and without the clouds it looks like this

The ring world I have been making is ready; it replaces the small ringworld already in place around the star EG 471 in the Orion's Arm add-on.

This is a view I have made of the ring from a distance
