More BMNG data

Post #1by LoneHiker » 25.11.2005, 02:05

A 500-meter water and ocean mask has been released, but right now it's only available to people with access to the GSFC network. Eventually public access mirrors should have the data.

Also in the works is a MODIS mosaic of Antartica, an updated Greenland DEM and correction of issues with 1) SRTM data over Crete and 2) bathymetry around Antartica.

For 2006-2007 there may be a 500-meter cloud cover set. But work has not yet begun on that.

Do you (or anyone else) have any more info on this? Has the data been made public, yet? I'd dearly love to get my hands on that but, so far, I haven't found it available anywhere.

Thanks,
Jonathan

Here is some information on the Antartica mosaic:

I haven't heard anything new about the cloud cover set.

Outstanding! Thanks much. I couldn't turn up anything at all for spec or topo or anything, and you hit the jackpot with one link. 8)

Thanks again,
Jonathan
