For the past few releases I've been seeing a bug when zooming to around level 5 of virtual textures. Tiles will blink on and off, with a transparent hole around the edges of my screen. The issue gets progressively worse as I zoom in. Here are some screen shots the perhaps explain better, using celestia-1.4.0pre9-F.exe using Jestr's high res earth tiles.
I'm running Nvidias 81.95 drivers.

Yes that is normal. My extras directory resides on a seperate drive and is called /celestia/.
I believe between 78.01 and current revisions additional OpenGL 2.0 support was added to the Nvidia drivers. I'm unsure if that is related to my issue or not. These issues occur no matter which render path is set.
