Celestia Surround View

...first of all, if the same question was already posted, sorry, I couldn't find it...

If I have 2 screens, and 2 3D cards can I have Celestia project on one screen a forward view and on the other screen a side view from the current position?

What about 4 screens (forward view, left view, right view, top view). If that were possible (or if sycnhronizing multiple instances of Celestia to obtain the same effect would work) it becomes feasable to build your very own planetarium in the living room if you can borrow 4 projectors :)

Celestia can span two displays, at least when they're driven by the same card. Most modern consumer cards have outputs to drive two separate displays. Matrox makes a card that can drive 4 screens. Mixing different models of cards or cards from different manufacturers wouldn't work very well.

Celestia also has the ability to divide its window into several areas. Careful sizing would put those pieces on the separate displays. The window segments all show events that take place at the same simulation time. Getting their viewpoints to be synchronized in space probably would be a little tricky. Scripting probably would be necessary.
