KeyShortcut Bugs in 1.3.2 and 1.40pre6

Hi all,

before people again attribute certain bugs to our FT1.x code under Windows, please help confirm the following issues that I find after freshly installing 1.3.2 and 1.4.0pre6 as well as the CVS version:
  1. The key CTRL+a is broken: if I push it then both the observer speed increases (which should happen when pushing just 'a') and the atmosphere is toggled on|off.

Under the various Linux flavors the situation is better:
    1. Linux-KDE: OK
    2. Linux-Gnome: OK
    3. Linux-gtk : Broken, same as Windows
  2. The orbit on|off key 'o' is broken: just nothing happens!

    ==> edited later <=====

I just found out that 'o' works with my NVIDIA FX5900Ultra card, but strangely NOT with my ATI card in my notebook.

    Please make some further experiments...

    Again fine in Linux flavors

This looks pretty bad to me. It seems that despite the large number of Windows users only few still USE Celestia intensively ;-)

Bye Fridger

Good Doctor,

I can confirm the CTRL-A bug on my lowly machine. It toggles both the
acceleration of the body you're following and it toggles the atmosphere.

The "o" key works just fine. However, the Orbit rendering check box also
has to be marked under your rendering options prior to using this feature.

This looks pretty bad to me. It seems that despite the large number of Windows users only few still USE Celestia intensively

Depends on what you use it for though. I merely use my copy of this
spectacular software to improve my knowledge of our Solar System, space
and the Universe in general. I don't need to increase the acceleration of
my rate of travel towards an object. If I wish to speed things up, I simply
use the "L" and "K" keys to speed the time rate, and I use the "Home"
and "End" keys to accelerate to or away from the object of my choice.
Also, I always have the atmospheres rendered... This is simply the way
I wish to view the object of choice. I may toggle the clouds on or off
so that I can see the surface of an object like Venus, but it really isn't
necessary to toggle the atmosphere.

Hope that helps.
