Hi everyone,
I have a problem with opening the Activities by Frank M. Gregorio.
I followed the instruction step by step. After I opened the MS Word file called Activity 6. The hohle side opens. When I reach the Hyperlink window to start the tour by opening Celestia after Clicking the picture, then there happens nothings. Only the Error Message "this side is not able to be shown". Can someone help me? Please, I really would like to watch the Documentation. What do I have to do, or is there anythink I did wrong, I really dont know.
If my english sounds strange, sorry for that, but I am German.

Memphis Bell:
I am sorry you are having trouble opening my star life cycle activity.
I have never encountered an error message that reads "This side is not able to be shown".
Please send me more details about what is happening via private message and I will be able to help you. I promise you will be taking the journey soon.

Perhaps it have something to do with the macro settings in word. I remember I had a message of something like that some while back. But that was in excel, not word. So I don't realy know. But you can check it, in the option setting for word, check for something with the name macro, think it is in the Tool meny. Just try to lower the macro settings. Or it may be somthing with the security option in word.

Just some quick thoughts to try and help out (and I'm assuming MemphisBelle uses a German version of Windows):
I think MemphisBelle's translating an error message from German, possibly "Die Seite kann nicht angezeigt werden." 'Seite' means 'page' (as in web page) but also 'side' and may have be a source of confusion. (Apart from that, your English is very good, MemphisBelle )
From that, I'd ask whether MemphisBelle has allowed the cel:// URLs to be associated with Celestia when it was installed. If that isn't done, then the Windows OS will simply not know what to do with any cel:// link, and claim it can't open that 'page'. What should happen is that Celestia starts and you're taken to a predetermined place, time and viewpoint.
Please note I never runs scripts or cel URLs, to stop Celestia taking up all my time with another dimension of fun! and so I don't read the Celestia Scripts forum and can't comment on them, but for any problems running fsgregs' scripts, best post there for attention.

Spiff is correct. If the message is "Cannot open this page" then the problem is in the installation of Celestia, or the problem is in the version of Microsoft Word that is being used to open the Activity documents. Cel:urls are links inside each document that command Celestia to open. Your computer must be taught that a cel:url is associated with Celestia.
If the message is: "Cannot open this file", then the problem is with the installation of the Activities. The document is trying to find the file that the picture's "link" is pointing to, and it cannot find it.
Both problems can be corrected.
Memphis Bell is communicating with me via private message, so we will get it straightened out.

My Problem
To Spiff - 1st thanks for you accoladed my english , hope I can hold this level.
Now I will repeat what you??ve sayed. You mean my Windows or my Word do have some problems with links inside a Worddocument and/or orders to open an extern Program....Hmmmm....How to erase this problem? Do I have to install an english Version of Word? Or are there some possibilitys in the options of Word to make it work?
To fsgregs:
Hi, last days I tryed it again. I unisntalled Celestia completly and deleted the folders witch were not uninstalled. After that I installed the Activitiy like you wrote in your Readme file. I followed it step by step and did absolutly correct like you told. Than there was my "favourite" message again. "Cannot open this page". Damn...again. There must be deffinatly a problem with my Windows or Word. Should I get 1.4 pre Version of Celestia?.....But... I already tryed 1.4 as well.....without success.
Its very too bad, cause I really would like to join your Activity. I??m very interested in space and its properties.
May be, some day there will be a possibility to make your Activities work.
All other communications will happen via private message
until then, bye
