Position Camera

Hi,

I'm struggling to do the following: follow a satellite on its orbit around Mercury. The camera is to be positioned such that it looks at a certain angle at the satellite (in order to show an apparture mounted on the satellite).
I'm using script. My problem with using all the script commands (e.g. set orientation etc.) is that I do not see any sort of coordinate system, i.e. I do not have any reference when setting angles. I have set the coordinate system on ecliptical I find it really hard to orientate myself.

Any ideas.... thoughts...?

Thanx a lot!
Michael

Can't EADS?„? afford Satellite Tool Kit?„? then? Your profits were up +100% the other day... ;). What about Oratos?„?? Anyway, is this for fun or commercial?

Can you select a lat, long and altitude from the satellite centre for the camera and set Sync Orbit? The camera should then remain fixed relative to the satellite even is the satellite translates or rotates...

Don't forget to give full credits in the glossy brochure.

Spiff.
