Extrasolar planetary system

Post #1by ComputerHotline » 20.07.2005, 11:51

Hello
In this file :
http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/c ... asolar.ssc
there is a bug about Gliese 876 system.

And this system :
http://planetquest.jpl.nasa.gov/news/tripleSunsets.html
should be created in extrasolar.ssc

Mind explaining what the bug is?

Any links to the orbital elements of the binary star and the planet?

The "Semi Major Axis" for Gliese 876 d is 0.020806 AU, not 0.20806 AU

Ah, ok. Looks like the bug crept in in version 1.59, the semimajor axis in version 1.58 (when this planet was entered) was 0.021

For future reference, if you find a bug, it is FAR more helpful to say from the start what the bug is rather than pointing at a file and saying "there is a bug".
