Hello, me again. the L-5 addon is in Limbo....

however another add-on that i have been working on is near completion.
IF you are Familiar with Freeman Dysons work on a nuclear pulse drive, then you know what Orion is.
for those that don't, Imagine a space craft propelled by a continues stream of nuclear detonations...

I designed this Orion with information compiled by Dyson and some info from Dr jerry Pournell.
This ship represents what a 80meter orion might look like in the mid 80's.

That looks like the Michael, from Footfall, by Niven and Pournelle, in many ways.

The hemispherical pusher plate is inspired by the Snout busting ship from footfall.

Wait till you see the next one i have coming up....
I'm doing a Orion that was designed by Dyson to be launched on a Saturn V and make a 167 round trip flight to mars and back.

Also, Von Braun's 1952 designs for a mars mission, as published in Colliers magazine.
