Post #1by kikinho » 22.12.2004, 21:21

If someone had problems with my Fenixomira system, please report me the problem.
I'd be happy if someone that saw my system say to me if the system is good or not. Ex: If liked the textures, the orbits, the binary system and stars...

As usual, if the Install is correct:
1/ 'Enter' Touch,
2/ Type 'Fenixomira' (Or the exact name of wathewer system you want to go: find this name in the STC or SSC Description but you can find the way in the Readme file if it is well done),
3/ 'Enter' touch again, and finally:
4/ 'G' Touch ('Go, Celestia, Go!')... You'll find the main Sun: Then, Explore the System :wink:
Does it Help? Jeam

Have you downloaded Fenixomira System_JPG_MEDRES.zip file? If so, press Enter and write: fenixomira system or fenixomira. Then, press G. And then..., see the system.

Fenixomira System_JPG_MEDRES.zip has some fixed bugs from Fenixomira System.zip.

As I wrote, You must joint the Star (system) FIRST: type 'Fenixomira' or 'Fenixomira system', and go: then you can find all the objects in the system browser! Jeam

That's the point that don't work, typing 'Fenixomira' or 'Fenixomira system', and go don't change anythings in Celestia, I stay on current position as the STC or SSC don't work. It's the only addon which have this kind of problem, I've many of other that work without any problem.

This is strange. In my computer the add-on is working well. What version of Celestia you have? The addon was designed for Celestia version 1.4.0 pre 6. If you have the last version and still doesn't work, go to Starnames.dat in data folder and add these lines 1000000:Fenixomira and 1000001:Dijawbudi. If this doesn't work, remove these two lines of Starnames.dat and go to Fenixomira.stc.

This is Fenixomira.stc:

1000000 "Fenixomira" {
Texture "kstar.jpg"
OrbitBarycenter "Fenixomira System"
SpectralType "K2V"
AppMag 17.5
EllipticalOrbit {
Period 4
SemiMajorAxis 4
Eccentricity 0.006
Inclination 2
MeanLongitude 180
}
}

1000001 "Dijawbudi" {
Texture "mstar.jpg"
OrbitBarycenter "Fenixomira System"
SpectralType "M6V"
AppMag 25
EllipticalOrbit {
Period 4
SemiMajorAxis 4
Eccentricity 0.036
Inclination -2
MeanLongitude 0
}
}

Now, remove the 1000000 and 1000001 that are from the left of the names.
And now? It's working well?

I'll try to download version 1.4.0 pre 6 to have a look on your add-on, on version 1.3.2 it's not working. By the way, where can I found this version ?

Is my add-on good or bad? I mean, the textures are interesting, beautiful or bad? And the orbits? :)

Fenixarema texture is strange, there is a kind of yellow area on it, it doesn't look like natural. The rings are too dark, there is no transparency on them, they look like solid. Tha same textue problem occur on it moon.
Dragoemina have the same texture trouble.
Lemounmena textue look like too munch in circle.
For my point of view, the system is quiet good, but I think that texture lok like strange.

Don't worry, the yellow area of Fenixarema is jungle. The trees and plants don't have clorophyl, but have another material that turns it yellow. The rings don't have transparency and are dark because it's rich in heavy rocks and small asteroids. The vegatation of it's moon is brown, and the color of ocean is brown because reflects the color of it's atmosphere.
The oceans of Dragoemira are yellow because reflects the color of it's atmosphere. Lemounmena is a strange world that have ammonia ocean and vegetation is bright brown. I wanted to do a different kind of system that have some unused planets. I don't like the idea that all Earth-like planets are all blue with green plants. I think that some earth-like planets are a bit different.
