Just an idle question born from a bit of curiosity on a slow night at work...
Since the encounter with Phoebi by Cassini, has anyone been working on either a model or a texture, or both for that little moon?

**laughs** okay, you got me there. I *have* been trying to learn the ropes for real worlds, though, but frnakly there are plenty of folks out there with much better equipment than mine, and proven skills.
I have been playing with the idea of creating 3DS models based on real objects, but it's gonna be long road of studying and experimenting! A fun road, too.

Well, I suppose to be insufferably optimistic, I could always say it's something to look forward to... **chuckles**

Even so,I think it?s a matter of time, because Phobos and Deimos aren?t spherical bodies and we have good meshes of them. What I don?t understand is why someone can?t only make a texture independent of the mesh/3D model? The textures we have to Phoebe are terrible.
And what about a 4k texture map for Phobos?Mars Express get very good close-ups of the martian moon
