3ds texture problem

Post #1by rthorvald » 19.05.2004, 08:41

I have a problem with the ship in my Gallia addon; the sails are white on one side and transparent on the other; it should be white on both sides. In Anim8tor it looks right, this only happens in Celestia.

I have tried setting the texture to two-sided, and also tried texturing it from scratch with a new texture.

The sails are simple, single objects with one single texture (no multitextures). Nothing i do seems to fix it.

Does anyone have a suggestion for me on how to fix this?

I'm not sure how you're creating your sails, but you might consider starting with a cube primitive and subdivide it. When you project a single texture image onto a cube in Anim8or, the images on the front and back surfaces will be reflections of each other when displayed in Celestia.
