Is there a case with 3 shadows on the planet and 2 shadows on satellites?

Btw, I've done more little changes on the video.
I intend in a next version to brighten galilean satellites albedo to get more realism.
Very easy to do in Celestia on .jpg files.
The main problem is to find a good reference...

Captured as fullframes with Celestia, trimmed, filtered, titled, audioed with VirtualDub, encoded with RealProdod10Basic. Preprocessing of audio track with ExactAudioCopier.

I intend to make a closeup hires movie of 11/11/97 event.

In following picture, in upper row are genuine Celestia medres files sorted by albedos as found on the web, resp. Io 63%, Jupiter 50%, Europa 46%, Ganymede 43%, Callisto 17%.




In lower row, I quickly "eyeball " adjusted brightness of Io and Ganymede, using Brightness, Contrast and Gamma controls in Irfanview.

I'd appreciate if anybody could do a more scientific correction and send/indicate a link to me related zipped .jpg files.

Capture: Sim integrated feature. Could come with next+n Orbiter version? Set to 640x480, 25 fps, avi fullframes.
Video edition and audio mixing: VirtualDub with Frame tweaker and subtitler(Sub Station Alpha based) addon filters.
Audio preprocessing : Exact Audio Copier.
Encoding: RealProducer10Basic, 350 kbits/s VBR download audience, 2 pass, sharpest video, music audio.

Or may be the POV was not located on earth. I can't remember

The 2 successive shadows on Io are independant of POV.
I was just interested in knowing if this event was true?

Checking it with SNP4 shows the event at 05:34 UT, and Io passing just outside the Callisto penumbra. => 0 shadow on it!

You are totally right. It does not depend on the POV. I guess it was a glitch in an old Celestia version. Though, I tried again and I have a Io shadow with Celestia V1.3.0pre4

Let's say it is a nice bug
