Is it me, or is Wild 2 an exceptionally ugly-looking object?

:?

It is a remarkably ugly object 8O.

However, it's one of the most remarkable photographs I've seen since Halley (http://www.star.ucl.ac.uk/~apod/apod/image/0008/halleynuc_giotto_big.gif).

You too might be ugly if you were 4 and a half billion years old .

For those who don't know, Wild 2 is a comet that was visited yesterday (Friday 3 Jan 04) by a NASA mission called Stardust, which collected samples of dust that will be returned to Earth in 2006. See here: http://stardust.jpl.nasa.gov/.
