Suggestion for Jack, other modellers

Maybe you could put together a simple model of KSC that could be positioned at the correct lat and long just like the moon landing sites, etc? It needn't be very complex, but it could consist of the VAB, 39A and 39B pads, and maybe a ground texture of the surrounding area on a large polygon.

Just an idea, but one that could be implemented without making any changes to the program itself. Perhaps this could become a standard way of representing certain locations on Earth for which more than the blanket level of texture detail is desired.

Since making the lauch pads could involve creating 3ds models of them, I'm asking if anyone here uses this modeler. http://www.wings3d.com/ It can import and export 3ds files, among other formats. By the way, it can also use a plugin to export to POV-Ray 3.5 so you could make nice pictures of the spacecraft with reflection, refraction, etc as wallpaper or whatever. 8)
Of course, maybe I could try making 3ds models of my home and university and put them in Celestia. :D Then maybe we could make 3ds models of cities and have them change over time with Beginning and Ending times. Maybe we could even have different versions of the Leaning Tower of Pisa at different stages of construction and restoration.
