Wormholes and other quantum singularities

Post #1by Adelvunegv_waya » 14.08.2003, 04:14

Alright, i made the mistake of telling a friend about this that happens to be a nut on somethings

SHe is curiouse, how would one model and duplicate a worm hole or singularity in celistia?

For that matter so am i, now that she planted the bee in my poor wracked brain.

I would just use the black hole addon that's somewhere out there. But if you want to actually go into black holes or see naked singularities I guess that you would need to somehow make things look distorted. If you want wormholes that really take you to other places I guess a new kind of object could be added, maybe in the mh, that would take you to some other position if you came within a certain distance of it.
Oh I was wonder what would happen if a naked singularity popped up in my room. 8O
Maybe I could use it to get rid of trash and it would be fun watching it getting ripped up and crushed if it doesn't do the same with me.

I think I got the black hole addon from Bruckner's site and now that site had gone down into a black hole named /dev/null.

If you want a Black Hole, here is a movie I put together showing the one available on Frank Gregorio's Celestia page (http://www.fsgregs.org/celestia/) ...

Streaming Windows Media Player 9 version:

Download MPEG version (right-click / save target):

Here is a JPEG of Frank's Black Hole:

Have fun!
