Antialiasing

I just upgraded the graphics card in my primary desktop system at home to a GeForce FX 5900. I'm now able to run at smooth framerates with 8x antialiasing enabled. In case you've never had a chance to check out the difference, here are a couple screenshots to compare. The top one is without antialiasing; in the bottom one 8x antialising is enabled:

With antialiasing on, the images are beautiful; it makes a huge difference with spacecraft and their delicate antennas and booms.

Wow... Seems I need a new Grphic Card ;-) ...
What am I doing? Ah, nothing much. Just laying on my bed, watching the stars, and sky, and keep asking myself: 'Where the Hell is my Roof?'.

Solution:

If people want value for money. I recently picked up a FX5200 for $100AUD. (~$60US) The framerate is decent and having antiailaising on does not slow it down. I managed to get a passivley cooled version which is nice if you like things quiet.

Jack:

To the best of my knowledge, the image you put on the post is the rectangular plaque from Pioneer. The Voyager plaque is actually a round gold laser disk and has a different appearance entirely. It is available as an add-on from somewhere on the forum.

No problem Jack.

Yes I do have the laser disk texture. You can get it on my website (click on the link below) by downloading and unzipping the Voyager.zip file. Look in the Medres folder within the textures folder, or just replace your voyager extras file with this one.

Frank :)
