Synchronous Satellites

Post #1by Art_Vandelay » 16.07.2003, 01:29

The bigger satellites of Jupiter all have the same hemisphere facing Jupiter at all times, as do Saturn's moons with Saturn. My question is, in Celestia, are the correct hemispheres facing the planet like in real life? Just a nitpick, it's not important.

Actually, it IS important, and the answer is yes -- at least, they should be; if not, it's a bug (probably in the .ssc or texture file).

Just to give credit where credit is due:

Grant Hutchison has been sweating blood, as it were, trying to make sure all the satellites and planets rotate properly. If you see one with a problem, please post it.
