Good Luck to MER-A "Spirit"- get the xyz here!

Post #1by JackHiggins » 10.06.2003, 21:55

Hey all

The Mars Exploration Rover A "Spirit" launched today from florida. If you didn't see the launch live on tv, you missed out big time...

Anyway, Horizons have added the first segment of the xyz trajectory into their Spacecraft list, so i've made an xyz from it. Because it's only for the initial segment of the trajectory, it only runs until July 10th.

Get the xyz segment & ssc update here:

And heres a screenshot taken only moments ago...

Jack,

You might want to add a RotationPeriod of 0.008333 to Spirit (that will match the 2 RPM rotation).

That gives it one rotation every 2 minutes, not 2 rotations in one minute!

You mean time? Or Jack's add-on? Or, the pumpkin? Time and the
pumpkin accomplish pretty much the same thing around here, but Jack's
add-on served a useful purpose...

Uh-oh, I'm gonna get clobbered again. I can feel it coming. Hee, hee.
