The ISS upon the departure of SpaceX Crew-4, 2022-Oct-14

This addon updates the current flight manifest of the International Space Station as of 2022-Oct-15

WHAT'S NEW?
- Updated docking/undocking times for four crewed missions (Soyuz MS-21 and 22, SpaceX Crew-4 and 5), which collectively just began ISS Expedition 68 on October 14th
- All Starliner missions after OFT-2 were rescheduled from December 2022 to February 2023.
- In addition, all subsequent Axiom missions were also rescheduled to the same time period above
- Added Cygnus flights NG-20 to NG-23
- Beginning dates for the second set of iROSA arrays were delayed to November 2022 following the launch of SpaceX CRS-26
- No specific date yet for the deployment of Nauka's remaining outfitting equipment, but on Celestia, it is delayed from October to December 2022.

Here is the 65th Starlink flight which took place on 05-10-2022 at 23:10
international number 2022-125
Group 4-29
52 satellites

In the archive I put a correction of the 64th launch because there was an error on Group 4-34 which was in fact Group 4-35

Prospero

Prospero, also known as the X-3 and (formerly) Puck, was a small 66-kg satellite that became the first (and last) spacecraft to have been sent into orbit by a British rocket. It was designed to undertake a series of experiments to study the effects of the space environment on communications satellites and remained operational until 1973, however it is reportedly still active until as late as 2004. It was predicted to eventually reenter the Earth's atmosphere by 2070. But in 2021, efforts to retrieve it safely back is currently being pursued by Skyrora

Orbital parameters were based on TLEs retrieved from CelesTrak

At the time I made the ssc file for the 62nd Starlink launch, 2 of the satellites of this flight had not obtained a STARLINK number
2022-111U and 2022-111Z
It's now done :
2022-111U = STARLINK-4736
2022-111Z = STARLINK-4721

Watching JPL's Saving Galileo documentary on YouTube gave me a lot of information regarding the location of the spacecraft's two main parts, the spun and despun sections. Here's toutatis's CMOD model converted back to OBJ now split into two halves

How to convert a binary CMOD to OBJ? Opening binary files with editor (to copy vertices and faces) doesn't work, it just shows unreadable (binary) data.

Maybe Anim8tor with cmod plugin can help.

Cmodconverter can convert bin cmod files to ascii.

Open, fix, output as ascii.

AstroSat-1

Post #1909by DaveBowman2001 » 24.10.2022, 23:39

Astrosat-1 is India's first dedicated multi-wavelength space observatory, which was launched on a PSLV-XL on 2015-Sept-28. Its five main instruments observe the universe in visible light, ultraviolet, and x-ray regions of the electromagnetic spectrum. It is still active as of 2022.

Orbital parameters are retrieved from CelesTrak

BlackSky Satellite Constellation

The BlackSky satellite constellation (as of 2022-Oct-26)

The BlackSky constellation is a series of small 55 kg earth observation microsatellites about 0.84 m across that produce 1000 images of the Earth's surface every day in 1-m resolution. As of 2022, a total of 16 out of 18 satellites are currently active in LEO, with the other two being destroyed during a launch failure of an Electron rocket in May 2021. A full constellation of 60 satellites are planned in the near future

Orbital data for all satellites are retrieved from CelesTrak. This also serves as an update to gironde's BlackSky addon here

Lucy's Centaur RB Stage (2022 UQ1)

Post #1911by EarthMoon » 27.10.2022, 09:10

Lucy Centaur RB (the upper stage of the Lucy (destination: Jupiter's trojans) mission)
flew by Earth on Oct 16, 2022 07:00:00 UTC. It was wrongly classified as asteroid (2022 UQ1) after the flyby,
thus I added that alternate designation to the SSC file.

It was expected that the Centaur will be pushed into an orbit between Earth and Mars, but it happened differently:
The centaur stage was redirected into an inner-earth orbit,
its perihelion is between Mercury's and Venus' orbit, aphelion is near Earth's orbit.

INSTALLATION:
If you have my "Juno Centaur, Kepler Booster, Lucy Centaur RB Stage & 6Q0B44E" (or similar) addon installed,
delete/disable its file "Lucy Centaur RB Stage.ssc"! If you don't have it, skip this step.

Just extract this addon into Celestia's extras folder.

Huge thx to: SpaceExplorer for telling me about this "mistake".

Here is a model of OneWeb: https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-models/vehicle/sci-fi-vehicle/oneweb-satellite
(but it costs $10 , it's the cheapest one I found (I don't buy it, of course))

I found it after 30 seconds of searching through the web

Wouldn’t be a good idea in general due to what the licensing would be for such a model.

But there is one way to get a (similar) model without losing money: Save the preview images and create a model based on the images.

The two halves of Galileo are finished, though it may take a while to upload it here since I'm waiting for the changes I've made for the default installations of Cassini, Galileo, and ISS be officially integrated on Celestia 1.7.0's development

The images below are GIF files. Click on them to view their rotations in action (sped up to 10x real time), which should now 99% mirror the actual hardware's behaviour

Could you modify the ISS model to use the original JPG textures, instead of PNG textures (which should only be used in default Celestia when features like transparency are needed)? I'd rather not have to do that just to make a pull request for you...

I know cgtrader.com and as Anthony_B_Russo10 says it wouldn't be a good idea to release a copyrighted model
