yes, I plan to do the other Atlantis, Challenger, Endeavor, Columbia, and Enterprise shuttles. I need to retrieve Celestrack's history from Norad.

the second cmod file is always unused.
I saw that all mesh have option "visible false' so none visible shuttle !

That's right, I didn't think about attaching a readme file. I'll think about it for the next time.
Initially, I make my ssc files according to the possibilities of LUT5 and among others Vidiba. Vidiba allows you to display or not the objects contained in lua tables intended for it. The Vidiba program I use is an 'improved' version of Croc's, but the tables are still compatible with his shape. The name of these tables is the same as the name of the lua file that contains them. The name of each table is entered in a section of config.lua of LUT5; this section is itself a table. I made tables by type of object and therefore Vidiba programs also by type of object.
The Vidiba program requires the use of the 'Visible false' instruction with each object (in the ssc file) to be invisible in normal times and to appear when using Vidiba. To allow the object to be seen in other circumstances LUT5 has a button to occasionally see an object made invisible.
If you are not using LUT5, just hide the 'Visible false' instructions with '#Visible false' and this can very easily be done by Notepad ++ or another editor.

Added after 3 minutes:
There are 2 models supplied with the addon and you can use the one you prefer by simply changing the filename in the 'Mesh "....."' instruction.

When I started posting these kinds of addons, I explained all of these things. Celestia Origin has included (modified) LUT5 in its distribution, so there are many users of LUT5.

No one is obligated to use the addons published here. :insane:
Those not using LUT5 should simply remove 'Visible false'. It is not a big job.

Spaceport Locations

Post #1467by DaveBowman2001 » 10.03.2021, 13:17

Decided to post this here since it's where almost all spacecraft that has ever launched had started their journeys.

This add-on features the locations of major spaceports around the globe, including Air Force bases where Space Shuttle orbiters used to land before, and some missile test ranges. These places are rendered as "Landing Sites"...upon activating "Locations -> Label Features", set "Minimum Label Feature Size" to "1" to see them

In my Progress cargo addon, I discovered 4 errors in the Progress-MS x.ssc file:

In all these lines, we must replace the name of Observer by removing the '0' (MS 10, MS 11, MS 12, MS 13) :nervious:

Added after 18 minutes 50 seconds:

line 1037 and 1136, remove one of the two objects

Here are the 28 missions of the Columbia shuttle until the tragic flight of STS-107.
I don't remember where I got the Columbia model which is not on Motherlode but a clue is that it uses Bob Hudley's textured ones that he created for Atlantis, Discovery and Endeavor. It is missing on Motherlode Challenger, Columbia and Enterprise. If someone could modify Columbia to get Challenger and Enterprise (just the name on the right wing under the American flag) that would be great.

As usual, the sources are from Norad. In the ssc file, each object is described with the parameter 'Visible false' to work with Vidiba from LUT5. For those who do not use Vidiba, this line must be deactivated with '#Visible false'. The 'Ending' parameter is deactivated in order to be able to visualize the orbits of all the missions at the same time. You can restore the line by removing the '#' in front of Ending.
