What do the different colors (blue, white, rose) mean ?

It is based on a NASA map. I think they are bigger, mainly "optical" concentrations of bright stars.

thank you, John, but can you actually link to your addons you created to make them appear the way they do in those pictures? Just using those models and textures in those links don't do that without some extra designer know-how. For example if you made cmods and textures as extras? can you share them so we can view those objects like they look in those outstanding pictures?...or would you rather keep them private?
