Minmus' Addons

Post #1by The Minmus Derp » 03.08.2020, 17:24

Hello!

Today, I realized that I never made my own addon thread. Today, I will change that. As of right now, I have only made 1 complete addon and have 1 under development, but this number will grow.

ADDON 1
Sol Textures - adds custom textures to the sun.

Simply place in the extras folder.
Sol textures.zip

ADDON 2
Stellar Gas Giants - turns jupiter into a star and transforms the inner moons accordingly.
Screen Shot 2020-08-29 at 6.36.49 PM.png

Again, simply place in the extras folder.

ADDON 3
Planck star - its just ridiculous. It adds a stupidly bright star with a stupidly extravagant flare.

STUPID WHITE DWARF.zip

again extras folder

ADDON 4]
Planet Seranna, a fictional planet I placed at Earth's L5 point. It has one moon, and it will have more if you wish.
Also i can move it somewhere else?

Beautiful! (Is Jupiter a brown dwarf?) Although if we make Saturn a star (or brown dwarf), I wonder what will happen to Titan. :think:

Hopefully it will be as interesting as it is while Saturn is a gas giant.

Stellified jupiter has been updated

Changelog: changing clouds for Europa and Ganymede

Also - here's some code that you can place at the end of Jupiterstar.ssc to make Io terraformed.

Code: Select all

Modify "Io" "Sol/Jupiter"
{
        OverlayTexture "TerraIo.*"
        BumpMap "TerraIo-bump.*"
        BumpHeight 3
        SpecularTexture "TerraIo-spec.*"
        SpecularPower 120
        SpecularColor [ 0.50 0.44 0.40 ]
        NightTexture ""
        Atmosphere
        {
                Height 120
                Mie 0.0014
                MieScaleHeight 27.4
                MieAsymmetry -0.1
                Rayleigh [ 0.00026 0.00048 0.00100 ]
                CloudHeight 15
                CloudSpeed 21
                CloudMap "TerraIo-clouds.*"
        }
}

no I mean the addon doesn't have the textures so we need them or else the terraformed Io will just be a white ball

Yes it does! look in the folder and you will find TerraIo, TerraIo-bump, and TerraIo-spec!

I certainly have them and I added this feature before I uploaded it.
