Celestia's temps do not account for greenhouse effect. It gives the blackbody temp, and aside from distance, the only thing that modifies temperature in Celestia is the body's albedo. In my worldbuilding notes, this world has a mass of 1.3 earths, an atmosphere that is 1.1 times that of Earth's, giving it a substantial greenhouse effect, thereby bringing me to a temperature of 291 degrees Kelvin, certainly warmer than Mars, and warmer than the average temperature of Earth (288 K).

FALSE ! :fie:

Your picture shows us 234°K not 291 as you wrote and Earth under celestia 1.6.1 said us an average of 260 °K +/- 2 °K

=> 291°K is the temperature given for Venus...

jujuapapa, stop trolling and actually read what Tegmine wrote.

Added after 4 minutes 14 seconds:
To be clear: The temperature displayed in Celestia is the equilibrium temperature. Tegmine is saying that the planet's greenhouse effect results in an actual temperature of 291 Kelvin, which is somewhat warmer than Earth but much cooler than Venus.

Factually did you see his picture ? :fie:
Where did you see 291 with celestia except in his head ?

Celestia (this is not me) said us 234 not 291... like he said, all and anything , and I could say too 300°K and why not :help:
Or you think that celestia gave wrong datas since several years???

Actually, yes. Look at Venus, for example.

I don't get how you've not realised that by now. :fie: Every time you open Celestia, you go to earth. In 1.6.2, Earth has a temperature of 259 K! That is obviously just accounting for blackbody temperature, as where I am right now the temperature is in fact 292 K, 33 degrees higher than what Celestia says! Why? Because Celestia doesn't really care about atmospheres, tidal heating and all that stuff.

Considering the amount of posts you have I don't get how you don't know this. If you do, PLEASE STOP TROLLING! Thank you for your attention jujuapapa.
