Well, if that's settled, then while addons.celestia.space is the domain name, what should be the new Website's name? Calling it the Motherlode would be logical but I prefer if it had a new name to keep up with the times.

A good name for me would be "The Addon Shop".

HI,

From my newbie perspective, this seems to be a quality of hosting provider issue.

Can those issues be resolved by just bringing the content from MotherLode directly to celestia.space/addons.html?

Does celestia.space have the required bandwidth and room to host the files?

Is there somebody who can manage/do the migration?

Are there other issues not obvious to a newbie?

Just questions.

Current celestia.space server hasn't enough storage space, as I understand?
Still formally developer, but too tired to develop. I feel sad, but Celestia is going forward despite it.
Btw, the universe is ruled by electricity.

Have anybody tried to connect motherlode admins? Maybe it just needs new admins?

Actually, I don't think they've been active for over a year, but I might be wrong.

I do know for a fact that John Van Vliet is more active on Celestial Matters, though. As for Ulrich Dickmann (Adirondack), I have no clue if he's still active or not.
If you see that I made a dumb or nonsensical post years ago, please forgive me in advance.

I am still around , but not that much

as for self hosting i used to do that but COMCAST did not like it and sent me a legal " nastygram" to cease and desist
or
to buy a business connection

i can host a site on my fiber connection .
seeing as i do have a old machine that has 500gig drive that i can fill with the motherload content
then wait for AT&T to send me a cease and desist

or

set the old machine up as a torrent server/seeder
-- my preferred approach --

as to the motherload site

i do not have admin access and the code is " bit rotting " and needs to be updated

The Motherload is hosted on ibiblio.org, so quality of hosting is not apparently the issue.

Bit rot of the files is an issue.

Did Comcast and AT&T have anything to do with the motherlode?
