Another communication method for Celestia

Here is something I made for Celestia a few days ago, a subreddit as an extra communication source for help.
Note this is NOT official unless Alexell, Art Blos, Lafuente_Astronomy, or pirogronian want it to be official.

Well, Reddit is a good place to have further interactions. We have a discord but there can always be more social groups to interact with. However, you may have to ask Alexell's permission regarding this. Every group associated with Celestia has to go through him first

There was an already existing subreddit called r/CelestiaSpace but it's been inactive for quite some time.

Well, that would be the best thing to happen. Normally, he would be the one to make the subreddit for Celestia himself so as to insure that there will be no subversions or takeovers

Well, we still have to be careful though. At least let Anthony_B_Russo ask permission from Alexell. I don't want that another controversy erupts as a result of this.

I think it's better to ask @Alexell. There is no rush and everyone will be happy without any controversy. :smile:

Update: After gaining more info I left this decision solely for rest moderators (because I don't know, don't understand and don't use reddit, at least for now :wink:

).

On the one hand, it is possible to coordinate this question with Alexell. On the other hand, despite his great contribution to the preservation of the forum, he is not the leader of the entire global community of Celestia. We have the right to do what we consider necessary.

Personally, I will remain neutral in this matter. I do not plan to use new resources.

I've asked a question to pirogronian regarding this. Personally, as long as it helps people join Celestia, and hopefully bring in some fresh blood who can contribute to it, then I'm in. However, Anthony, you now have a big responsibility. As its administrator, you are to ensure that ABSOLUTELY NO CONTROVERSY must happen in there. You must prevent members from taking over your place, and from posting unnecessary stuff to a forum about Celestia. You can at least put 1 post with regards to other stuff but all other posts remains for Celestia only.

So, can you bear on this responsibility if we decided that you'll have an official website? Can we trust you not to ruin everything Celestia-related? If so, then I will motion to make it official. And any other decisions from the other mods will make the ultimate decision

Pirogronian and I have decided that you can run your Reddit Program. As of this moment, your Reddit subgroup is now an official Celestia website. Congratulations.

As of right now only me and Lafuente_Astrnomy are Moderators for the subreddit. I am currently waiting for Art Blos and pirogronian to join.
