Get orbital data from NORAD

Post #1by SpaceFanatic64 » 21.09.2018, 05:31

In the past, I've seen toutatis and gironde create addons for spacecrafts. For simple orbits, they get their data from NORAD. Could someone tell me how to do this?
If you see that I made a dumb or nonsensical post years ago, please forgive me in advance.

copy line 1 into a cell of an Excel table
copy line 2 to another cell in the table
After you have to break these two lines to find the information. see https://celestrak.com/NORAD/documentation/tle-fmt.php

you can use the Excel table in the attachment
(be careful: do not destroy formulas and constants)

Added after 4 minutes 20 seconds:
some satellites are not on Norad.
Norad publishes only on satellites orbiting the Earth.

For old satellites where the 2 lines do not appear any more, it can be asked for an email on the archives.
