I downloaded an 8k Ganymede Normal map off the Motherlode many years ago, and it has since been removed.

I can't remember for sure who made it (my guess is John Van Vliet), but I can understand why the creator removed it, as it is a bit unrealistic.

Here it is:

Ok, thanks. However though, do you also have the 8k Ganymede surface texture to go with it?

Oh, ok. Why not try checking your system then? You never know where it might be.

Hi there, is there anyone have Runar Thorvaldsen's BURAN? It was supposed to be downloaded from his website here http://www.celestialmatters.org/users/rthorvald/buran/download.html, but when I tried to download it, it only says "THIS ID DOES NOT EXIST"

Thanks in advance

selden, can you use that same method to try to uncover Runar Thorvaldsen's "Postcards from Titan" addon?

I looked, but it seems that the Titan addon was not recorded by the Web Archive. Sorry.

Selden, do you have a copy of the addon yourself?

I think the th_buran addon needs to be reviewed and fixed because I get weird things by running the Celx file:
2 white spheres on each side of the launch pad
1 transparent cube that contains Buran in flight.

Maybe the script is older than Celestia 1.6.1 and may be using outdated commands?

Gironde, this is because the script was designed for Celestia 1.5.0. To fix the transparent cubes issue, open the file th_placeholder.cmod in a text editor, and change the opacity from 0.5 to 0.

Does anyone know what happened to the G-type star texture in this page? https://web.archive.org/web/20060525061104/http:/ ... t/catalog/extrasolar_stars.php

It looks like it brings you to an error 404. The Wayback Machine probably did not archive the URL in time.
