Poll: who is using Celestia 1.7 64 bit Windows version?

Let's make a quick poll!

How many of us use the Celestia 1.7 64 bit Windows version?

I'm talking about this version:

https://apps.alexell.ru/celestia/bin/x64/

https://apps.alexell.ru/celestia/new-dll/

If you are not using it, why is it so?

Can only the admin create a proper poll? If so, can we use external services instead?

Anyways, I am using it. I'm a bit disappointed though, it does not include some features that other in-dev versions had, like fading orbits and star-bloom effects. But it runs more stable, so it's worth it.

I can't make a real poll as a user.

Hello,

I tried this 64 bit version. It seems to work but I continue with the 32 bit version because the editor / debugger I use, Decoda, only works in 32 bit.

:hi:

Whoa, not bad for a "dead" software project: there is a new dev7 version of Celestia 1.7:

https://apps.alexell.ru/celestia/bin/x64/

By the way, it would be nice to know the actual changes...

Hello everybody. :hi:
Before code changes by dbrant, I normally build Celestia with QT4. Now QT4 does not work (???), so I install QT5 and try to build Celestia with QT5, but nothing happens either.

Existing problems:
QT 5.9.1 with QT Creator 4.3.1: compiler MinGW 32bit - error: \nodefaultlib:libcmt.lib: No such file or directory
QT 5.9.1 with QT Creator 4.3.1: compiler MSVC 2015/2017 32bit/64bit - problem with qtappwin.cpp [timezone & daylight errors in 1349-1351 lines]

Tell me please how to solve the problem? :help:

Celestia 1.7 dev7 64 bit is the best version, I use it extensively.

By the way, Alexell, please correct the "star search bug": nearby add-on stars from the "extras" folder are ignored when searching for them in the "Star Browser". :help:

Is there a Celestia 1.7 for Mac? I for one stopped using Windows a long time ago.
