Solar eclipse viewed from Jupiter

Hi,

I teach astrophysics and would like to show school children how a solar eclipse looks from Jupiter (Not shadows of the moons on Jupiter.) Is there a way to do this? Thanks!

The eclipse finder routine works for Jupiter and the other planets of our Solar System as well as it does for the Earth.

One way to do view those events is to place your viewpoint in Celestia on the surface of the appropriate planet and track the Sun. The same procedure for going to a planet's surface works for all planets, including Jupiter.

I'd locate a shadow of a moon, center it in the view of the planet so that it's directly beneath the viewpoint, goto the surface, track the sun, set Celestia's time back to just before the eclipse starts, then create a Cel:// URL, recording it to a file. One can then select that URL to goto that viewpoint and watch the progress of the eclipse.
