Showing the orbits of minor moons

Post #1by vsingleton » 15.03.2012, 03:01

How can I get the orbits of all the minor moons to render? I read the manual, and it showed me how to get labels for the minor moons to show up using Shift-M. This was working in previous versions of Celestia by simply chosing orbits to show from view options. I am using arch linux, celestia 1.6.1.

Minor moon orbits are viewable under Windows. See below. Hopefully a Linux expert can respond.

I checked both celestia-kde and celestia-gtk under Linux and unfortunately could not find an orbit display option for minor moons as it exists under Windows. Even for the cross-platform celestia-qt (SVN) (under development) a corresponding option is still missing!

I installed celestia 1.6.1 compiled against gtk.
Maybe I need to compile with different options that what the default build comes compiled with under Arch.

Why did you compile gtk version after I had stated above that it does NOT have a minor moons display option...
