I've just seen the popular app 'Living earth' on the ipad, which is basically just showing the earth in 3D while keeping the cloud data up-to-date, and also, does show time/weather for specific cities on the screen. But no-one has done this on PC yet.
Just wondered if someone could hack desktop screen saver version of this using code from celestia. From the demand/research I've just seen, it would quite easily get get 100,000 downloads.
