Another bug! well, at least I think it's a bug. the earth turns transparent for a few seconds while you are going to it.

Fading in textures

Objects are usually represented by dots when far away and textured objects when near. When you travel toward them rapidly, at some point the dot representation dissolves into the textured object in a cross-fade. That might be what you're seeing, though for me it typically happens when the earth is much smaller-looking than that.

Well I guessed wrong... darn it. I thought you found a pink white bunny rabbit in space. Anyway my earth kinda disapears when it is loading a texture. if you are experiencing a disapearence of a different nature however it may be due to your graphics card.

It would actualy be cool for a little easter egg. easter eggs were suggested back in the days of version 1.2.4
