Celestia modification to have "hotter" stars

Dear Celestia users,
I modified Celestia a little bit so that the stars are again as hot and glowing as in the old 1.4.1. Of course, the textures are almost gone, but the spectral class-specific colours are still there and in my opinion, the ability to "feel" the incredible heat is worth sacrificing the textures.
Certainly this modification is only for those who wants stars to look like in BBC programs. If you subscribe for photorealism, you will be disappointed.

The archive is at: http://www.celestia.klest.by.ru

Please note those are all rendered with OpenGL 2.0. If your graphic card does not support this mode, the images may be way different from those depicted here.

I, too, am unable to see any pictures. Here's what I see.

I'm guessing those of us in the North American continent don't have access for whatever reason.

The text on the left side of the page says

The website wrote:
You have requested a document that is blocked. Perhaps you went to the indoor site or requested file is not allowed by the administrator to read.
What can I do?

* You can read the user agreement, to learn more about restricting access to BY.RU.
* You can return to the previous page and go the other way.
* Finally, the directory will quickly get the needed information.
Current Setup:
Windows 7 64 bit. Celestia 1.6.0.
AMD Athlon Processor, 1.6 Ghz, 3 Gb RAM
ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics

No, Hungry, in Italy I see the same thing.
Strange, anyhow.
Bye

Dear All,
sorry for not responding, I have not been to the forums for long...

The web page is indeed not responding, for the code is totally corrupted. But the pictures should open, at least they do when I click the links in this thread. Can you see the screenshots here? This already should give you a brief glimpse of the modification. I will try my best to move the whole thing somewhere else, but most likely when there are holidays in Russia (November 2-4).
Okay, if anyone wants larger pictures NOW, please write to the PM, I will send them to you.
Meanwhile, I have uploaded the archive file to
http://rapidshare.com/files/159115782/P ... 1.zip.html
The archive file is not virus infected, I checked it.
The archive contains three folders and an instruction text. The patch is suitable for Celestia 1.5.1.
If you would like suns to shine almost like they did in Cleestia 1.4.1, choose the file in the folder "Stars Narrow Halo" and copy it to your Celestia folder.
If you would like suns to shine almost like they do in BBC (very thick halo), choose the file in the folder "Stars BBC" and copy it to your Celestia folder.
Hope that helps for a while until I get the links and pics working...

Right.
So have a go at http://www.ivvi.newmail.ru/Patch151.zip
The file should now be permanent there.

Thank you for downloading the script.
