io is completly black

hello,

i don't think you could call this a bug (not of celestia maybe the drivers)

well, i have already this strange thing happened in 1.2.4 and found only the solution of desinstall and reinstall celestia.

But now the same thing happens in the 1.2.5 low res version of celestia.

It's just after tweaking some options of rendering io becomes completly black (texture is missing ?) but everything apart that is ok : other moons of jupiter and all other textures are there, rendered.

Maybe it is after going full screen, then windowed mode, and full screen ....

Win98se, TNT2 m64 pci , nvidia 29.42

What rendering options did you change?

i have not been more precise because i don't remember and don't what precily cause that.

i solve the problem this time not by desinstall/reinstall

but by deleting the entry in the registry name shatters.net /celestia with jv16 somekind of regcleaner.

But maybe i am a little stupid and it is an ECLIPSE ???

This just happened to me, too - at present, Io is being eclipsed by Jupiter, but it took me a couple of minutes to realize what was going on when it came up black in the opening screen.

But I turned off eclipse shadows in rendering, and hey-presto, there was Io!

yes it is that.

when you turn on eclipse shadow and ambient light =none you can't see any io at all.

users are always fast to complain about a bug !!!!!! /Me stupid
