Some more Trek addons in the works

I'm still not satisfied with any of the systems I've made yet so I've been getting a few ships ready.

The original Enterprise

The Enterprise-C

I plan on making an Enterprise pack with all six ships that have been seen in the shows and maybe a 7th that has never been seen. :)

Very nice!!

I definitely look forward to it. If you include a seventh, never-before-seen ship, it probably won't be cannon.

As there are seven ships to carry the name Enterprise, which are you leaving out? The NX-01? (from the series 'Enterprise')
Current Setup:
Windows 7 64 bit. Celestia 1.6.0.
AMD Athlon Processor, 1.6 Ghz, 3 Gb RAM
ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics

The 7th ship will be the NCC-1701-F which is purely conjectural. The NX-01 I was going to include in an Enterprise era pack later down the road. :)

These will be added with the NX-01

These particular spacecraft were only seen briefly in two episodes so very little is known about them.

Looks like a modified Sovereign class.
Where'd you find the design?

Found it on Bridge Commander site. It looks like a cross between a Sovereign and a Voyager Intrepid class. :)

Reiko, I'm very appreciating your work to improve the Star Trek Enterprises, and your addition of lights is a very enjoiable step. :D
Some little suggestion: I was looking just now at the first Star Trek movie (original title is "Star Trek- The Motion Picture"), so I noted the many differences that can be seen between the original NCC- 1701 movie model and the actual Celestia model, as shown in your first post.
First of all, the overall color is glossy cream-white, and not dark flat gray as shown.
The hull lights were present on the original NCC- 1701 too, and the engines sides were absolutely different.
Here some low-res screens captured from the movie, to better explain what I'm saying.
Due to the limitation of no more than three images/post (IMHO a nonsense, BTW, who needs to show more than three images will do like me, splitting them over more posts), I'll show them in two different posts, sorry.
If you decide to improve this model (please, Reiko!), I can supply you many images with a lot of details.
Bye, and thank you for your work.

Andrea :D

OOPS Reiko, sorry, I apologize my bad mistake.
I see only now that your first image shows the NCC- 1701 that's NOT the one I was speaking of, that is the NCC- 1701A.
I have seen it in Celestia just now, and it's definitely much more nice than the "The original Enterprise" as you named it, that's not the 1701A.
BTW, I was confused by the sequence of images you show in your first post, where the 1701A is lacking, isn't it? :?
Anyway, here is an image showing your 1701A, very nice, thank you.
Obviously my offer to help you with documents and images of the 1701A, if you wish to improve it, is always valid.

Thank you Andrea I am working to improve all of the Enterprises. At the moment I am working on new emissive textures for the movie Enterprise to better refect the lighting scheme seen in the first movie. One thing about celestia I noticed is even when you make the textures white they come out looking grey anyways. I suppose that is due to the lighting I'm not sure.

When you defined the textures in Anim8or, did you set their material's Diffuse value to be 1.0 ?
Also, did you set the color value to be white?
(in the bottom of the material window, move the intensity slider to the top of its range).

The default for Diffuse is 0.700, and the default intensity is 224 instead of 255. Together, they make materials and textures darker than they should be.

I've never messed with the color value but I always set the diffuse to .65 or .7 I don't mind the effect actually, I think it looks better when it's a little grey.

Reiko, there is a big difference between the grey given by a 0.65 diffuse and a clear grey or "little grey" as should be. 8)
For a light gray result, diffuse should be about .85 to .95, together with a 240- 250 intensity, IMO.
As we told, in the original movie the color is white or a very clear greysh white, not grey.
Could you be so kind to give a try using these values, just to see the overall effect?
Please, Reiko!

I am working on making the highlight lights right onto the original texture itself.
Still tweaking the settings.
