Now that would be something, and I'm no doubt it would lead to some very impressive and accurate installations of Celestia.
However, for me (not being a 'scientician') I fear my installation would result in this...



So I think I'll stick with the manual download.

My friend Gilles is working now to have very best fine precision for his program and will test it with El Christou Apollo 11 models with 1.5pre cvs

I don't really want to re-install 1.4.1 to see the USSR test, so I look forward to seeing the Eagle touch down on the roquefort in the 1.5 version.

You can test it on celestia 1.5 but script don't work fine and the rocket liftoff is far from the launchpad.

ElChristou"]I'm still a bit short of time those days so the modelling is a bit in standby but in the meantime Linuxm@n and Gilles are still working on their calculations and I use the little time I keep for Celestia for other little things...

So patience is the word! :

I have found a launchpad for Apollo 11 in th google sketchup search, it will ba more easy to make a liftoff, i have made the ground image with google earth.
Gilles is working on his sofware for celestia 1.50 but we have timing problem with 1.50pre3 cause time in ssc file is different as time on the screen.

There was no artwork on the 3rd stage other than the black and white pattern on the interstage fittings.

"USA" and the flag was on the first stage.
"United States" was on the second stage.

Because of a break today, I've done a flash session of modeling for the 3rd stage; actual state:

Despite Andrea's researchs (I myself have done some without results), I fear it won't be possible to achieve a detailed model of this 3rd stage. Because of almost no close ups and no blueprints, I cannot model accurately the articulations of the 4 panels of the SLA, the thruster system for their opening, and in general many others important details...

So before closing the modeling of the 3rd stage, if someone knows a place where to find such details, please, let us know! Tx.

I'm searching for thruster system for their opening, vents etc, but it's a long way, if something exists it's surely in technical documents, that have the bad usage to have a lot of pages and just some (if any!) illustration.

Concerning the eventual "attach ring" (this ring with many holes visible at the bottom of the 3rd stage in this model), I'm wondering if there is not and error of interpretation; this ring is visible in many docs during assembly, but I'm wondering if it wasn't part of the lifting system of the stage (for manipulation) or really part of the stage itself (there is an attach ring, but not sure it's this one...)...

Probably you are right, it shows as an excess of unneeded details, probably wrong.
But sincerely at this point I have not clear what exactly you are actually missing.
Could you be more detailed, please?
