Apollo 11 does not appear

I`ve just downloaded TERRIER`s Apollo 11 mission add on , but the spacecraft does not appear on screen . All the data is there but not the image . I read the installation file carefully and it said that for Celestia 1.3.6 or later you could unzip the whole file straight into `extras' , which I did . I restarted Celestia and set the time to 18/6/1969 which was required to view the add on and nothing was there .
So I thought maybe it would be better doing as instructed in the description on the Motherload- copying the SSC file to extras and models file to models . This still did not work .
I can`t see where I`ve gone wrong . I did exactly as instructed but the add on won`t work properly .
Any help would be appreciated .

Unzip the folder to anywhere you like except for the extras folder.
Copy the SSC file to the Celestia\extras folder.
Copy the models to the Celestia\models folder.
Start Celestia.
Change your time to July 19, 1969.
Go to the Moon.
Right-click on Moon and select the Apollo spacecraft of choice and then
go to it.

Works fine here... AGAIN.

As I said earlier this is exactly what I did do and to make sure they WERE copied properly , I have just deleted the first effort and reloaded again putting the SSC File into Cel/Extras and the Models to the Cel/Models folder. I reset the time to the 19/6/69 and still nothing.
Incidently , I got the original date from a book about NASA which gave the start date as 18/6/69 , but in future I`ll stick to the 19th or later.
One thing I did notice was that when I copied the SSC file to extras , no folder appeared there for Apollo . Just in case I had not copied the file properly I tried again , but was told that the file already existed and was given options to copy and replace , copy and keep the first one or not continue.As the file was there I chose not to continue .
In the Cel/models you can see the file sitting there so I assume that was copied correctly .

The date you have to use is one which is in between the Beginning and Ending dates that are in the SSC file.

SSC catalogs are files, not directories, so a new folder image won't be created when you drag an SSC file into the extras folder.

Thanks for the link , I`ll have a good read . As for the date , I have tried the 20th as well and still no images . This is between the first and last dates on the SSC file.

How are you changing the date?

Next, what do you see when you right-click on the Moon?

In the SSC file itself, there are a number of different starting and
ending dates, and these correspond to various phases of the Lunar
Mission. That's why I suggested right-clicking on the Moon after
setting the date to July 19, 1969. At the very least, you will see that
something is in orbit around the Moon on that date.

Firstly I change the date and time using the time>set time option on the toolbar at the top of the screen in Celestia , after checking in the SSC file
first for the beginning and ending times .
Then I choose the option I want ( orbital insertion for example ) from the Navigation>Earth>Moon>Apollo and goto that object .
When I right click on the Moon I get a drop down menu which includes Satellites . On this I get 4 options -
Apollo 11
Apollo 11 CSM
Apollo 11 CSM Ascent
Apollo 11 Command Service Module
But it does not matter which one I choose , all I see is the Moon itself . There are no solid black spaces as there were with the Hydra and Nix problem a while back , indicating where Apollo should be .
Also , I never drag and drop any files in Celestia . I ALWAYS copy and paste new add ons to the program .

The other way to find Apollo is to hit "Enter" type in Apollo it should appear along the bottom of your screen if it has loaded properly then hit "Enter" again followed by "G" this should take you to Apollo and the Lander.

Sorry, but I have to make certain that you're doing everything right
because it works fine on my end.

When I left click I get the details in the top left hand corner. I do press GOTO . When I try using ENTER>Apollo 11 >ENTER > G Celestia pans round to the moon and zooms in on where it should be . It does this when I use Nav>Sol Syst browser>Earth> moon>Apollo 11 >GOTO as well.
The only thing missing is the image of Apollo 11.
I have tried copying the three CDS files to Celestia separatley,and also all three at once in the Apollo Models folder (not at the same time of course! ). There is only one thing I can think of that I might have done wrong and that is to copy the folder containing three CDS files to Cel Models instead of opening the folder and copying the files in one at a time into a new folder in Cel Models at the very beginnng.
If I DO try to copy and paste the models over to Celestia now, I am told the file already exists . So the data is in there somewhere - its just getting to it that`s the problem.

I'd suggest editing the SSC files and deleting the lines that start with Beginning and Ending to see if that's related. Without them, the models should always be drawn.

You should also check Celestia's "console log" to see if any errors are being reported. Type a tilde (~) to see it and use the arrow keys to go up and down in it.

What a plonker! . I had downloaded and copied the add on correctly all along . What I was doing wrong was putting in July as the sixth month instead of the seventh ! Call me as many names as you like for wasting peoples time .
A big SORRY to everyone who helped out .At least you got to try another add on eh Bob?
