osX users: star class
What about adding the star class after the star name in the browser? (just like the galaxies types before switching to the new browser)

Sure, but I saw trolling around a few "regular" osX users since the post...
... but perhaps I wasn't clear...
Again, actually, you open your browser on the stars tab and have some lists there. The point would be to add something like the first letter of the class or the full class after the name of the star (could be in grey between ()). It would be a way to help the user who's looking for a particular class to pick it immediately...

Sui, you mean separated windows?
No, it would be better that the windows are integrated like the existing one.
I meant about indivisual features for stars and solar systems, respectively.

Ok, yep but I fear we will get a really advanced browser with new features only after the cross platform UI... (like the one we where discussing here: http://shatters.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=96870#96870)
Sui:
ElChristou's right, while the OS X browser has shortcomings I feel that we should begin focusing our efforts on the new cross-platform UI.
ElChristou:
Sorry, I gave up on the star classes idea (e.g., Sun (...)). The addition of the spectral type info added too much visual clutter, and the spectral type just looks confusing - I'll give a prize to the first non-astrophysicist who can explain to me what "B8I-a" in Rigel (B8I-a) means.

Bah, you probably right, no need to lose time on this...
What will be the process to switch to the cross platform UI? Is Qt definitively our choice? What are the steps for us under osX to begin lurking and testing?

Yes, I've felt unconvenient for the Browsers of the OS X....
So the cross platform UI seems to be a good solution (but I'm not familiar with that...)
