Hi everyone . I just downladed Celestia and have to say that I`m impressed. Just one thing though, every time I try to visit another galaxy nothing happens . In the GOTO box I can enter a planet or star and there is not a problem , but if I enter a galaxy, say M101 for example , I stay still . It`s probably something I`m doing wrong but I don`t know what .
I have checked on the viewing options and galaxies are enabled . Any ideas would be appreciated .

did you leave a space between the letter and the number??
like M<space>101
Otherwise it won't work. You must see M 101 in the top left corner...after entering it into the command line.
And then hit G

Me too. I already asked to remove the space before, but O well, ...
"Well! I've often seen a cat without a grin", thought Alice; "but a grin without a cat! It's the most curious thing I ever saw in all my life!"

Technically, it would just mean to remove a simple space in the PERL output format of deepsky.dsc. So this is certainly trivial. But what is less trivial is that many people are meanwhile used to that space.
Hence one should envisage a solution that accepts BOTH ways of writing, with and without a space! That's why I did not simply leave the space away so far.
And.. I am busy otherwise since ~ 2 weeks.
